Exemplification - The Disembodied Body: Church in Quarantine

Restoration,Thank you for all of the ways that you love each member of your family, the way you surround and uphold them even in your own weakness. Thank you that you do not see your brokenness as a limitation but understand that even that is a fountain from which God brings life. Thank you for your courage and eagerness to act on that of which God has convicted you, and the sacrifices you have so readily made to press into the vision the Lord has given you. Restoration, remembering you and all that God has done in and through you for myself and so many other fills me with abounding joy and gratitude to the Lord for you.I want to exhort you in your calling. Your calling to be so much more than you could ever be on your own, apart from one another, and outside of Christ.  Restoration, continue to dive into the mystery of the Gospel, the hope of Glory, Christ in you and you in Christ.  Delight in His incarnation. That the entirety of his life, from conception to ascension, is a reality you actually participate in. Revel in your union to Him by His assumption of fallen flesh, your flesh, to purify it, to purify you. Rejoice in your salvation, that it is the gift of Christ giving himself to you and nothing less. Embrace fully the blessing of family that you have in the church, that all that gather with you to worship do so by sharing along with you in Jesus. Do not loos sight of how utterly necessary each of your members are to one another, as you are incomplete apart from Christ and far from each other. And in these times of distance and isolation let your hearts be filled with lament for all that is lost in this season of separation and longing for when you will once again be able to gather together to manifest the reality on this earth of what you are in Christ. And finally, may you find comfort in the hope that no powers of this world will ever overcome the church which is the body of Christ himself.Sincerely,your loving member, Emilene
